Privacy Policy for OpenClaw Calendar and Email
Effective Date: March 2025 • Developer: Mountain View Development
Mountain View Development (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy details our practices regarding the collection, use, processing, and protection of user data when you authorize and use the OpenClaw Calendar and Email application (“the App”).
Strictly Read-Only
The App can only read email and calendar data. It can never send, modify, delete, or create any messages or events.
Zero AI Model Training
Your Google Workspace data is never used to train, retrain, or fine-tune generalized AI or machine learning models.
No Persistent Data Retention
Email and calendar content is processed transiently in memory to answer active AI agent queries and is immediately discarded.
Never Sold or Shared
We never sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to advertisers, brokers, or unrelated third parties.
1. Application Purpose & Scope
OpenClaw Calendar and Email is an integration developed by Mountain View Development that enables user-authorized AI agents to access Google Workspace Gmail and Google Calendar in a read-only capacity.
The App functions as an authenticated bridge, allowing your personal or enterprise AI assistants to retrieve relevant email context, review upcoming meetings, check schedule availability, and summarize calendar agendas on demand as explicitly requested by you.
2. Google Workspace Scopes & Data Accessed
When connecting your Google Workspace or Gmail account via OAuth 2.0, the App requests only the minimum necessary permissions:
Read-only access to view email messages, message threads, subject lines, senders/recipients, timestamps, headers, and mailbox labels.
Read-only access to view calendar events, schedule availability, meeting times, locations, attendee lists, and calendar descriptions.
What the App CANNOT do:
- Cannot send, draft, edit, forward, or delete emails or messages.
- Cannot create, modify, reschedule, or cancel calendar events or appointments.
- Cannot modify account settings, contacts, or access any other Google services.
3. How We Use Your Data
Data accessed through Google APIs is used strictly to provide functionality directly requested by the user:
- Allowing your designated AI agent to retrieve and summarize relevant emails upon your specific request.
- Allowing your designated AI agent to check schedule availability and synthesize upcoming calendar events.
- Providing context necessary for the AI agent to answer user-initiated queries regarding emails and schedule coordination.
Data is never processed for secondary purposes, advertising, lead generation, behavioral profiling, or market research.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy & Limited Use Disclosure
OpenClaw Calendar and Email's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In compliance with Google's Limited Use requirements:
- We only use user data to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the application's user interface.
- We do not transfer user data to third parties unless necessary to provide or improve user-facing features, to comply with applicable laws, or as part of a merger/acquisition with user consent.
- We never use or transfer user data for serving advertisements, including personalized, re-targeted, or interest-based advertising.
- We do not allow humans to read user data unless we have obtained your affirmative agreement for specific messages (e.g. for customer support), it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required to comply with applicable law.
5. AI & Machine Learning Policy (Zero Model Training)
We maintain an absolute, unequivocal policy regarding artificial intelligence model training:
Google Workspace user data is NEVER used to train, retrain, fine-tune, or improve generalized or foundational artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), or large language models (LLMs).
When email or calendar data is processed by an AI agent on your behalf, it is supplied strictly as real-time inference context for that immediate session. The underlying AI models do not retain or incorporate any of your data into their model weights or training datasets.
6. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion
No Persistent Storage of Message or Calendar Content: The App operates on a transient execution model. Email messages, message bodies, attachments, calendar events, and attendee details are held in volatile memory only for the duration required to complete the active query or action, after which they are immediately discarded. We do not maintain any long-term database storing your emails or calendar entries.
OAuth Tokens: Encrypted authentication tokens granted by Google OAuth are stored securely and used solely to authenticate authorized requests to the Google APIs. If you disconnect the App or request deletion, all associated authentication tokens and identifiers are permanently deleted from our systems.
7. Data Security & Human Access Restrictions
We implement robust, industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards:
- All data in transit is encrypted using modern cryptographic protocols (TLS 1.2+ / TLS 1.3).
- Authentication credentials and tokens are encrypted at rest using strong modern encryption.
- Human Access Prohibition: No human personnel at Mountain View Development have access to read your emails or calendar entries. The only narrow exceptions are:
- When you explicitly and affirmatively request technical support and grant permission to inspect a specific issue;
- When necessary to investigate or address security vulnerabilities, system integrity issues, or abuse; or
- When strictly required to comply with a valid court order or legal obligation.
8. User Rights & Revoking Access
You retain complete control over your Google account and data at all times.
You can immediately revoke OpenClaw Calendar and Email's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account Security Settings:

Upon revoking access, the App will no longer be able to read any data from your account. You can also contact us at hello@mtnview.dev to request immediate deletion of any associated token records.
